http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/User:...naobra/Journal

But since nothing happened with that we don't really have anything now do we? Please, I would really like to be informed. Tell me what the Live Team is addressing and working on right now? It's a general question for anyone. Maybe all their focus is on the Test Krewe? Why all the discussion? I don't understand your hostility now YunSooJin, in an ironic turn of events.
Whaddya want them to do? Make stuff up to make you feel better? Why don't you just imagine they're doing other stuff :s Maybe then you'd feel more comfortable?

Any hostility you feel is entirely of your own imagination. I would suggest re-reading the posts for hostility.. if you think I'm being hostile I apologize on your behalf for feeling that way.. lawlz.

You might as well ask Regina to compile a list of things everyone's done everyday and have them report to you directly, daily. I'm sure of ANET is busy holding everyone's hand stuff would get done even faster than they are now ~_~.

Thanks Thamior, I'm sure anyone who is wondering what ANET is up to will be relieved to know what ANET is up to.

Right... no hostility at all. Anyway, Regina has indeed tried to inform us what goes on. You seem to be intentionally misinterpreting what I've said. She does give updates. I'm simply asking for an update now. Which would have made her announcement perhaps a bit better and the community more responsive to it.

Browse her journal and you will see updates.

Asking for updates does not actually do anything except burden ANET with another useless request. When ANET has something worth reporting, they will update us, unless you prefer to just hear 'we are still working on it'.

Anet thinks, lets invite a small portion of the GW populace to help us improve balances in the communitys mind, but adding extra time to the process. Anet are bad

Anet disbands the test krewe and goes back to the old way of doing things. Anet are bad.

It's a lose/lose for anet with 99% of this thread. I would also like to note that in all the time gw has been out, not once has it ever been balanced. This is because true balance in GW is imprcatical, and impossible. And if by magic it was achieved, 100% of the playerbase (no exceptions) would complain about how shit gw is and how they have to run the same crap as everyone else. And how things were so much better when one team build wasn't exactly the same as another team build.

tl;dr Shut up, and stop complaining.
The skill balance is what, 6 months late? It's probably going to be at least another 2 months for it to come out, too. Shut up, stop being a raging fanboy, and understand when a company is being shitty.

Regina, we understand the whole test krewe thing is new to you guys, and you've been busy. If the update was supposed to come out in December I'd understand why it would be late, but that's not the case. It's about half a year late. Stop making excuses, the live team clearly can't handle Guild Wars.

I for one actually would be happy with a "still working on it" "xx% there" or something along those lines. I've been on the anti-nerf side of these threads since day one, but what I seem to comprehend from both sides, which you seem to be missing, is that these long intervals where we're spoonfed bullsh*t or told absolutely nothing (XTH anyone?), we're made to feel like we're being strung along while nothing is done. Appease the community till GW2 is out, then they'll forget all about this!

Keep us in the loop! Especially when things are going bad. Let us know we still matter and you'll get a lot more sympathy and leeway than when we're treated as inconsequential.

I see that people are so eager to call foul on this. Considering the "krew" is new to this, it's more appropriate to wait and see what the final results will turn out to be, unless you still want to see the devs do the usual nerfs you guys keep crying over.

An update on just what the hell they've been working on, what their priorities are, and how far they got would be very very nice right about now.

Not to mention updates on what roadblocks they are hitting that are slowing things down...like those costumes were a huge roadblock in their plans...maybe if we pay 10$ we can get an update about whats happening...

Generally in software development, adding more resource (Test Krewe) speeds things up not slows them down.

I hope at least that when they come they are a great wide skill balance.

It occurs to me that there was in fact a balance update one month ago. The snow fighting skills were updated in the December 17 update. Without this, the snowball ATs would probably been dead after one or two days in the event.

They weren't dead last year. Also, the Avalanche/Yellow Snow balance hardly did much - Dwayna still won roughly 90% of single elimination matches in ATs.

Reading through the first 20 or so pages of this thread, I've noticed one reoccurring theory. Farming makes you evil/stupid/etc. Why? I'd rather farm for my q9 eaglecrest axe than pay out the ass for it, so that makes me stupid?

I truly don't understand the mass anti-farm movement that's going on. Is it the way a majority of people farm (SF, 600/smite), or is it farming in general?

Well, there are several types of players who have an intrest in the fact that (solo) farming gets nerfed:

1) The pug players, who will think that the farmers will team up with them. That's never gonna happen imo.

2) The players who don't farm. Some of them want a nerf out of envie.

3) The players who geniunely strive for a more 'balanced' environment in PvE, which can't be done without a massive overhaul of PvE anyway.

4) The powertraders, the scum of GW I might add, as they get their wealth on the back of others, while a farmer actually works for his wealth. The less wealth/rare skins that are generated, the more valuable and rare their stock becomes.

5) Some of the players who already have gwamm and full HoM for obvious reasons.

We should also take into account that the above groups are well represented on the forums as shown in this thread and others. Simply because this is the place to be if you want to QQ.

I'm not contrary to farming neither in favor of farming. I simply would like to see new build for a more variety game.

Exactly... until we are actually paying the salaries of the Live Team then they are not duty bound to tell us anything.

When there is news of a public nature... we will hear it.
